Inauguration of ORNAP Nueva Vizcaya Chapter – A dream come true!

The Nueva Vizcaya ORNAP Chapter was put up under the leadership of the founding president, Mrs. Clelia B. Alejandro, Operating Room Head Nurse of the Veterans Regional Hospital, Nueva Vizcaya. Induction of the Officers and Board of Directors by the ORNAP National President Mr. Rony M. Fajilagutan,RN was done on June 15, 2008 at Ammungan Hall, Capitol Site, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Followed by a lecture forum with the team “Building Competencies in Managing Surgical Instruments” by DGSV Sterile Processing Specialist Mrs. Jennifer C. Fernando.

More than 150 participants composed of operating room and delivery room staff nurses, clinical instructors and students from different hospitals and school institutions respectively benefited from the said lecture. The demonstration on proper care and maintenance of surgical instruments add up in the knowledge and skills of the participants.

The success of this activity was a collaborative effort of ORNAP National Officers who are present such as Mr. Rony M. Fajilagutan,RN (ORNAP National President), Ms. Cathline D. Avellano,RN (Secretary), Ms. Flor P. Burgos,RN,MAN,Ed.D (Asst. Treasurer), Ms. Jeovie F. Joya ( P.R.O.), Mr. Jonah T. Arguelles,RN (Board Member), the Nueva Vizcaya ORNAP Officers  and Aesculap Academy.
